As anyone who joined us for last year’s Autumn Harvest Festival can attest, this event is not to be missed! We’ve been looking forward to this event since…well, last autumn. Here are the details:

• When: 3 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 25

• Location: Mounds Park Community Garden

  • Halloween theme

  • Friendly contests with prizes! (dessert, costume, apple eating)

  • Pumpkin painting + crafts for kids

  • Photo station

  • Bring-your-own food potluck

  • Garden exploration

The Mounds Park Community Garden invites you to a very special gathering: our Autumn Harvest Festival. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season and enjoy a day full of fun, food, and festivities with friends and neighbors.

This event is open to everyone—whether you’re a member at the garden or just love a dang good harvest festival, we’d love to have you. The day will kick off with a warm welcome, hot cider and appetizers as you arrive and settle in. From there, you can look forward to a variety of autumn-themed activities, including games, crafts, and friendly competitions. Plus, this year the harvest festival, which is spoOookily close to Halloween, will have a halloween theme. Get into the spirit and wear a costume, you might just win a prize!

This is a potluck, so bring a dish to share, especially if it features garden-fresh ingredients or seasonal flavors. There will also be a pie contest, so don’t miss your chance to showcase your best recipes! Beverages will be provided and a portable toilet will be available.
